YBNL star Adekunle Gold, has credited ‘Jamb Question’ crooner, Simi, for the success his album is enjoying as he revealed how she fought him adamantly abs how they disagreed in the process of making the songs.
Adekunle made the disclosure in a chat with notjustokTV where he discussed his debut album “Gold”, and the YBNL tour in the UK. He noted that Simi mixed and mastered all the tracks on the album except for ‘Sade’ which was mixed and mastered by Vtec. He said
“Simi did everything apart from ‘Sade’ which was done by Vtec. Simi is amazing, she did a lot of work but we had times that we fought about some songs like ‘Nurse Alabere’ I recorded the song like three times, recorded ‘Fight for you’ like three times,” Adekunle recalled.
He, however, expressed satisfaction with how the work came out eventually giving credit to Simi for standing her ground.
“I'm happy that we went through all of that because it turned out to be great,” he added.
