The Edo State Government earlier today announced that Thursday has been declared public holiday in the State. According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, the public holiday was declared in honour of the crown prince whose coronation is on Thursday. Already traditional rites by the Crown Prince have been carried out in preparation for tomorrow and the people of Benin can wait for him to be crowned.
